Axle Details
Dana 60 "Disconnect" style front axles were used by Dodge 2500 and 3500 series Ram trucks between 1994 and 2002 and featured a mechanical axle shaft disconnect in the middle of the long inner axle shaft to engage and disengage 4x4. This design had several reliability issues and as a result, it is highly recommended to convert the axles to locking hubs and full length (one-piece) axle shafts.
