This differential fits 4.10 and numerically lower gears or 4.56 and higher "thick" gears.

Detroit Lockers are well known for being one of the most durable and dependable differential lockers available thanks to their heavy duty construction and simple, yet very effective design. They provide 100% traction to both wheels while still allowing for wheel speed differentiation on the street or other high-grip terrain. The Detroit Locker has been around since 1941 and has stood the test of time to reach legendary status with off-road enthusiasts, hot rodders, and drag racers.


Detroit Lockers are also known as the Detroit No Spin and Detroit Soft Lockers and come in various styles and configurations that either replace the entire differential carrier or just the internal spider gears. Axles that use C-clips must use "C" model Detroit Lockers and while different applications may look different, all Detroit Lockers function the exact same way.
